Qiong Yao (simplified Chinese: ็ผ็ถ; traditional Chinese: ็็ค) is a contemporary Chinese writer. She was born in Chengdu, China on April 4th, 1938 as Chen Che (simplified Chinese: ้ๅ; traditional Chinese: ้ณๅ). In 1949, she moved to Taiwan with her father. She has used Xinru (simplified Chinese: ๅฟๅฆ) and Fenghuang (simplified Chinese: ๅคๅฐ) as pen names.
