Simran

Simran (born Rishibala Naval on April 4, 1976), also known as Simran Bagga, is an acclaimed Indian actress, producer, and dancer who has worked extensively across Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. Born and raised in a Punjabi family in Mumbai, she completed her education at St. Anthony's High School and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University. She pursued modeling and trained in Bharatanatyam and Salsa before making her acting debut in the Hindi film *Sanam Harjai* (1995). She gained early attention through her appearance in the ABCL production *Tere Mere Sapne* (1996), particularly for the hit song "Aankh Maarey". In 1997, Simran shifted her focus to South Indian cinema, making highly successful Tamil debuts with *Once More*, *V.I.P.*, and *Nerrukku Ner*. These performances earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She quickly ascended to become one of Tamil cinema's most dominant and sought-after leading ladies during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
