After returning from studying abroad, An Qiao (played by Wan Tong) joined the White Bird Newspaper, where Qin Nan (played by Zheng Peilin) and Chen Beibei (played by Zhou Jiayu) worked. Lin Han (played by Wan Peixin) is the son of Lin Xun, a philanthropist. There have been five confusing murders in the city. Coincidentally, the victims are all inextricably related to Lin Xun. After careful investigation, it was discovered that all of this pointed to the murder of the undercover policeman Ding Jian'an twenty years ago, and Ding Jian'an's daughter was An Qiao.
